Rising 5 stories in the heart of Chicago's south side is a plan to erect IWN.Haus, an innovative hub fostering entrepreneurial success and community prosperity.
At the core of IWN.Haus' vision is a commitment to community wealth building models, which will empower local residents through inclusive ownership and participatory decision-making.
The development intends to go beyond traditional corporate structures by incorporating elements like:
A worker cooperative spearheaded by area residents which will manage operations of the IWN.Haus Gallery + Events and IWN.Haus Club
Spaces set aside for other locally-owned worker cooperatives to lease at affordable rates
Inviting community members to have a financial stake in the project via a community investment vehicle
Democratic governance structures that give neighborhood residents an active role in shaping IWN.Haus offerings to meet community needs and priorities
Descend to the basement of IWN.Haus to find the central hub steering this visionary endeavor - Internet Webpages Newspaper, Inc. (IWN) headquarters.
At IWN headquarters, there are no limits to the innovation that can spring forth when expertise converges, partnerships unite, and community is placed first. The future starts in the basement.
Stepping inside the lobby, one first encounters the building's high-tech production facilities housing PersonalizedNewspaper.com, Inc's advanced printing equipment including industrial presses and finishing systems to create materials supporting local, regional and national Black-Owned DTC Brands.
Venture up to the second level and discover flexible conference venues and specialized rooms filled with workshops, accelerators, and bootcamps empowering founders with skills critical for ecommerce achievements like web design, digital marketing, and leveraging social platforms.
On the 3rd floor lies the Journalist & Content Creator Coworking Center (IWNJC4), where budding entrepreneurs and creators will access customizable private offices, open coworking spaces, podcasting suites, and video production studios. Here they can collaborate, create content, and bring business dreams to life.
Crowning the building is the IWN Haus Club, an inviting rooftop lounge where members can continue collaborations over food and drink while enjoying skyline views. The co-op will oversee daily operations, member access, and curating amenities to make this a beloved oasis for relaxing and connecting.
By placing these dynamic spaces (IWN Haus Club & IWN Haus Gallery + Events) under the stewardship of a worker co-op, IWN Haus empowers residents to shape the offerings that best serve the neighborhood. The co-op exemplifies IWN Haus' commitment to community wealth building, a central tenet of its founding vision.
At IWN Haus’ core lies a commitment to community mentorship. The coworking offices and state-of-the-art studios provide public housing residents access to emerging technologies and invaluable guidance from accomplished entrepreneurs to establish their own companies, careers, and legacies.
Through every meticulously designed floor, IWN Haus uplifts. Print by print, podcast by podcast, and gathering by gathering, it transforms potential into reality. Discover how you can engage with IWN Haus’ offerings by getting in touch today. The future starts here.
